Recovery Cymru simply could not exist without volunteers. Many volunteers are members who want to become more involved, and several former volunteers have gone on to paid employment within Recovery Cymru or associate organisations.
Recovery Cymru developed from a single volunteer-led support group. Volunteers and volunteering are at the heart of the approach. Volunteering can itself support recovery: you do not need to wait to be “fixed” to contribute, because contributing helps recovery. People who support recovery are warmly invited to volunteer too.
